''Oxychilus alliarius'', common name the "garlic snail" or "garlic glass-snail", is a species of small air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Oxychilidae, the glass snails. The specific name ''alliarius'' refer to the ''Allium'' that means garlic. The common name also refer to the fact that when this animal is disturbed, it gives off a strong smell similar to that of raw garlic.〔 == Distribution == This species occurs in a number of countries and islands including: * Great Britain * Ireland * Netherlands * Czech Republic.
